consent 用作名词时的意思是“赞成”，只用作不可数名词,可接动词不定式或介词to引导的短语。
consent指同意别人的请求、建议或满足他人的愿望，着重意愿或感情，常和to连用。
allow作“允许”或“许可”讲，常搭用动词不定式短语作宾语补足语。
allow sth 允许(做)某事。 如： The facts allow no other explanation. 事实不允许有其他的解释。 注：有时用于被动语态。

consent是同意的意思，而grant则是授权或者批准的意思，区别可以从以下例子看出：
