如何判断什么时候用might？
1、表推测，用于肯定句和否定句中，might的可能性比 may要小一些。
【例】：Life is unpredictable；even the poorest may/ might become the richest.人生难以预料，即使是最穷的人也有可能成为最富有的人。(对将来的推测)
【例】：He mightnt have heard you when you greeted him.
当你和他打招呼时，他可能没听见。(表示对过去的推测)
2、表示允许或请求，意为“可以”，在疑问句中用might 比用may的语气更加委婉。
【例】：You may come if you wish.如果你想来，你就可以来。
【例】：
—May/Might I have a few words with your manager？我可以和你们经理谈一下吗？
—No, you cant.不，你不可以。
3、 might have done（表示虚拟）可表示某事或某行为本来可以发生而实际上并未发生。
【例】：They might have got everything ready for the seminar.他们本来可以为研讨会做好一切准备工作的。
4、构成的短语和句式。
“May 部分倒装语序）；may/might(just) as well do意为“还是做……的好”；may/might well意为“很可能……（相当于be very likely)”。
【例】：May all your dreams come true.愿你所有的梦想成真。
【例】：We may as well stay where we are.我们还是待在原地为好。
