牛津词典前面，读音和音标是这样解释的：如果某个单词的英式读音和美式读音有差异，这先给出英式读音，在美式读音前用NAmE标示。
If there is a difference between British and American pronunciations of a word. the British one is given first,with NAmE before the American prounciation. 新概念分英音版和美音版的两种，可能买的是美音版的所以发的是美国音。美式发音中/r/这个音是不省略的，而英式英语除非在元音前否则发音是省略的，比如far away这样的单词。
